Accessibility
Anyone should be able to get a plumber here
We aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and we test against that standard.
What we’ve built in
- Every part of the site works from the keyboard, including the service cards that choose a price list, the first-steps tabs, the service-area checker, the questions and the quote form, with a clearly visible focus outline.
- Text is checked to meet a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 against its background.
- Pages use proper headings and landmarks, so screen readers can move around them easily.
- The service-area checker announces its answer, and the two drawings are described in words.
- Form errors are announced to screen readers and explain what to fix.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, the site’s transitions switch off.
- The essentials work even with JavaScript turned off: every call button dials, the first-steps advice is all on the page, and the towns we cover are listed. The price sheet and the ZIP checker need JavaScript; without it, the page tells you to call for prices.
Where we rely on others
If we send you to an online booking page, that page belongs to another company and is outside our control. If it gets in your way, call us and we’ll book the visit directly.
Tell us if something doesn’t work
If any part of this site is hard to use, we want to know. Email office@sidehillplumbing.example or call (970) 555-0187. We’ll reply within two business days, and we can always take your request by phone.
